Congo Airways, the flag carrier of the Democratic Republic of the Congo has entrusted AFI KLM E&M with C-Checks for the two A320s that the airline operates on domestic routes. The C-checks will take place at the Aerotechnic Industries (ATI) facility at Mohamed V International Airport, Casablanca, Morocco. Aerotechnic Industries is a 50/50 joint venture between AFI KLM E&M and Royal Air Maroc which specialises in aircraft maintenance.
This newest contract is a continuation of the jointly advantageous relationship between Congo Airways, AFI KLM E&M and the AIR FRANCE KLM group. Through its Air France Consulting subsidiary, the Group supported the Congolese government when the airline was being set up, while AFI KLM E&M was already partnering Congo Airways for line maintenance at its Kinshasa hub, along with engines, component, and aero structures support for its two A320s.
