Aeromot and Volocopter partner to bring electric air mobility to Brazil

Brazilian aerospace company Aeromot S.A. and German electric aircraft developer Volocopter Technologies GmbH have signed an exclusive agreement to introduce advanced air mobility (AAM) solutions to the Brazilian market, marking a significant step towards the adoption of electric aviation in the country.

Under the Exclusive Representation Agreement, Aeromot will become Volocopter’s exclusive representative in Brazil for the commercialisation of the VoloXPro electric aircraft. The partnership combines Volocopter’s expertise in electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) technology with Aeromot’s nearly 60 years of experience in aircraft integration, certification, maintenance, sales and industrial development.

Aeromot will provide end-to-end support for the introduction of the VoloXPro, including aircraft distribution, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), customer support, pilot and technician training, and air mobility operations through its VOWE platform.

The collaboration marks the official entry of both companies into Brazil’s emerging Advanced Air Mobility sector and aims to accelerate the adoption of sustainable aviation technologies in the country.

The VoloXPro will make its public debut in Brazil at LABACE 2026, Latin America’s largest business aviation exhibition, taking place in São Paulo from 4 to 6 August. The showcase will serve as the launch point for a broader market development strategy.

Leonardo Andrade of Aeromot said the partnership represents a milestone for Brazil’s aviation industry.

“The arrival of the VoloXPro represents much more than the introduction of a new aircraft. It marks the beginning of a new chapter for Brazilian aviation and reinforces our commitment to bringing disruptive technologies, sustainable mobility and industrial development to the country,” Andrade said.

Developed in Germany, the VoloXPro is an all-electric light aircraft featuring distributed electric propulsion, a highly automated flight control system, low noise levels and near-zero operational emissions. The aircraft has been designed with a focus on safety, operational simplicity and environmental sustainability.

Beyond commercialisation, Aeromot and Volocopter are also exploring opportunities for long-term industrial cooperation in Brazil, including the development of maintenance capabilities, technical support infrastructure and potential future manufacturing activities. These initiatives could be undertaken through AeroCITI, Aeromot’s aerospace innovation ecosystem currently under development in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

David Bausek of Volocopter said the partnership builds on an established relationship between the companies.

“By joining forces with Aeromot, Volocopter builds on a proven partnership already established within the Diamond Group, leveraging local expertise and a shared commitment to advancing aviation in the region,” Bausek said.

The companies are also working closely with Brazilian aviation authorities and industry stakeholders to support the regulatory framework required for the safe introduction of Advanced Air Mobility operations across the country.
