Aerocare has recently refurbished an Embraer Legacy 600 jet for AirX Group, in collaboration with AeroVisto, involving a luxurious interior makeover of a captivating golden livery.

Aerocare, a prominent aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider, has recently completed an extensive refurbishment project on an Embraer Legacy 600 aircraft for AirX Group, a leading air charter business. The project, executed in collaboration with interiors specialist AeroVisto, involved a luxurious interior makeover and the application of a captivating golden livery.

AirX Group engaged Aerocare for this project to replicate the distinctive custom gold livery featured on their existing Boeing Business Jet (BBJ), down to the precise paint type. Aerocare, based in Chester, managed the meticulous process of removing and reinstalling the new interior, crafted by AeroVisto to harmonize with the BBJ’s aesthetics at its Swiss facility.

Houssam Hazzoury, Group CEO, AirX, said, “Our partnership with Aerocare on this project has been a journey of shared values. This project is a testament to what can be achieved when industry partners work together to envision something compelling from an owner’s brief.”

Creating the intricate golden livery for the smaller Embraer Legacy 600 required Aerocare to generate a rendering based on images of the existing BBJ design. To accurately match the specific Mankiewicz paint used in the original livery, the team collaborated directly with Embraer to secure specialized approval for the non-standard paint system. Operating from its dedicated paint shop, Aerocare achieved an exceptional replica of the original design.

The removal of the Legacy 600’s existing interior was carried out at Aerocare’s MRO facility before being shipped to AeroVisto in Switzerland. The new custom interior, designed in partnership with Champeau & Wilde, a Parisian designer, perfectly embodies the essence of luxury. After each element was meticulously crafted, Aerocare and AeroVisto coordinated their return to Chester for reinstallation in the aircraft.

Carsten Matthiesen, CEO, AeroVisto, said, “The aim of this project was to create a sense of luxury both inside and out, something the collaborative effort between all parties was able to truly deliver. It has also provided a good opportunity to build a relationship with Aerocare and we look forward to working together on similarly creative solutions in the future.”
