AerCap Holdings N.V. has delivered its 10th Boeing 787 aircraft on lease to Grupo Aeroméxico, marking two significant milestones for the lessor and airline.
The latest delivery represents AerCap’s 100th Boeing 787 delivered from its direct order book with Boeing and Aeroméxico’s 25th Dreamliner. The newly delivered aircraft is a Boeing 787-9 and will support the airline’s continued network and fleet expansion.
AerCap is the world’s largest owner of Boeing 787 aircraft and has the largest 787 order book among lessors, with approximately 140 aircraft owned and on order.
“We are delighted to deliver this Boeing 787-9 to Aeroméxico, a valued long-standing customer of AerCap,” said Peter Anderson, Chief Commercial Officer of AerCap. He highlighted the aircraft’s operating economics, performance and passenger comfort, noting that the delivery will support Aeroméxico’s growth while improving the efficiency and sustainability of its fleet.

For Aeroméxico, the arrival of its 25th Boeing 787 marks an important step in its fleet strategy and reinforces its focus on operating a modern and efficient fleet. The airline said the Dreamliner has played a key role in expanding its long-haul network while providing reliability, efficiency and an enhanced passenger experience.
Max Alvarez, SVP Fleet and Business Development at Aeroméxico, said the airline was proud to celebrate the milestone alongside AerCap and Boeing and expected the 787 to play an increasingly important role in its future fleet.
Boeing also highlighted the significance of the delivery, noting that AerCap has received more Boeing 787 Dreamliners than any other customer. The lessor became the first leasing company to take delivery of the 787 in 2013.
Patrick McKelvey, Vice President of Global Leasing Commercial Sales & Marketing at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said the milestone demonstrates the long-term value of Boeing’s partnerships with AerCap and Aeroméxico and the continued demand for the 787 widebody aircraft.
