Aequs to make titanium parts for the A320neo

Aequs has won a contract with Airbus to supply titanium components for the A320neo aircraft.

The contract will enable Aequs to manufacture more than 100,000 parts at its Belagavi facility for the A320neo’s pylon structure used to mount engines onto the aircraft’s wing.

Once made, they will be shipped to Airbus’ Toulouse assembly line.

The agreement expands on previous cooperations between the parties dating back to 2009, with Aequs supplying wing leading edge subassemblies for the A380.

Srinivasan Dwarakanath, president of Airbus in India, is of the opinion that the deal will help the OEM to enhance production of the narrowbody.
