ABL Aviation delivers 16th aircraft to Air France

ABL Aviation has delivered its 16th aircraft to Air France, marking another milestone in the long-standing partnership between the global aircraft investment management firm and the French flag carrier.

The latest delivery is an Airbus A220-300 powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1521G-3 engines and marks the first aircraft delivered under a new mandate covering three A220-300s. The transaction supports Air France’s ongoing fleet renewal programme and its strategy to operate a more modern and efficient narrowbody fleet.

Two additional Airbus A220-300 aircraft are scheduled for delivery later this year, which will increase ABL Aviation’s total aircraft deliveries to Air France to 18.

The Airbus A220-300 has become a key component of Air France’s fleet modernisation efforts, offering improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and enhanced operating economics compared with older-generation aircraft. The aircraft type is expected to play an increasingly important role as the airline continues to upgrade its narrowbody operations.

The latest transaction also highlights ABL Aviation’s expertise in structuring and executing phased multi-aircraft leasing programmes designed to meet the evolving fleet and financing requirements of major international airlines.

The new agreement further strengthens the relationship between ABL Aviation and Air France, reflecting continued collaboration between the two companies. Through its aircraft leasing and asset management capabilities, ABL Aviation said it remains focused on supporting airline customers with tailored fleet solutions that help achieve operational and financial objectives.

With additional deliveries planned in the coming months, the partnership continues to contribute to Air France’s long-term fleet transformation strategy while reinforcing ABL Aviation’s position in the global aircraft leasing market.
