28 August 2020: In the post coronavirus phase, when airlines are slowly opening up for tourists, Alaska Air has announced new seasonal service offering first nonstop flights between Seattle and San Jose, California and San Diego. The five-time weekly flights from Seattle and San Diego will start from 17th December 2020 to 11th April 2021, while the twice weekly flights to San Jose will commence from 19th December 2020 to 10th April 2021. Flights times offer afternoon departures from Seattle, San Jose and San Diego, for easy West Coast connections and late afternoon or early evening departures from Jackson Hole to allow for maximum time on the slopes. Guests will fly on-board the Embraer 175 jet from all departure cities.

“Jackson Hole and the surrounding Grand Teton mountains offer a legendary winter playground with a rich history, amazing service, and plenty of activities both on and off the mountain” said Brett Catlin, Alaska’s managing director of capacity planning and alliances. “We know our guests on the West Coast are looking for nonstop access to more outdoor locales and we’re excited to expand our footprint with the addition of Jackson Hole.”

“We know this is a challenging time for travellers and for our local community; offering non-stop service to Jackson Hole will appeal to skiers/snowboarders and winter enthusiasts, while providing a great option for many of our locals with family and/or business connections on the West Coast,” said Senator Mike Gierau, chair of JH AIR.

Alaska Air has taken note of all the safety measurements as per the WHO mandates to on-board the flight. Apart from this there are additional perks like on-board Wi-Fi. People have been under lockdown for too long and are craving for some fresh air and a long-due break. These flights come as a welcome respite for tourists planning for a vacation on the snow-clad Grand Tetons. So what are you waiting for, pack your bags and book a ticket at Alaska Air.
