7 April 2020: The US Marine Corps demonstrated the power of attack though the exercise Viper Storm. In this exercise the helicopter Bell AH-1Z Viper showcased its manoeuvrability in maritime environment as well as onshore.

In a powerful demonstration of aviation lethality, 12 AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters proved their worth during a complex training event that combined sea based principles with expeditionary operations and live-fire engagements,” according to Second Line of Defence.

Viper Storm was an opportunity to validate the modern maritime capabilities of the AH-1Z Viper to joint commanders within the Department of Defence, United States partners and allies, and potential peer adversaries. We were highlighting the maritime component of the Viper, the ability to go from ship-to-shore in a large element and address peer threats“, said Col. William Bartolomea, commanding officer, MAG-39.
