Altavair Limited has appointed Nick Hazeldine as chief operating officer effective October 2024. Hazeldine comes with an experience of two decades in aircraft leasing. In this role, Hazeldine’s focus will be on optimizing operations to support sustainable growth and executing Altavair strategic vision to deliver value to its customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Hazeldine will be based in Altavair’s Dublin office and will play a critical role in the company’s operational strategy and growth initiatives.

Prior to joining Altavair, Hazeldine erved as chief operating officer at CDB Aviation for almost six years. Prior to that he spent 14 years at SMBC Aviation Capital, where he held various senior positions, including head of credit risk, head of transaction management, and senior vice president of Commercial Negotiation. He was instrumental in establishing SMBC AC’s Innovation Hub, underscoring his commitment to operational excellence and innovation.

In his new role, Hazeldine will report directly to Rimmer and will oversee all operational functions within the company, including Legal, Technical, Tax & Accounting, Contract Management, and Human Resources.
