ExecuJet MRO perfoms heavy maintenance check on Embraer Legacy aircraft

ExecuJet MRO services middle east expands heavy maintenance capabilities
The new certification, along with existing EASA credentials, marks the 18th aviation authority to endorse ExecuJet, enhancing its global standing.

ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East has significantly expanded its capabilities by gaining SACAA approval to perform heavy maintenance checks on Embraer EMB-135/145 series Legacy aircraft with the maintenance checks underway in ExecuJet’s Dubai facility.

The new certification, along with existing EASA credentials, marks the 18th aviation authority to endorse ExecuJet, enhancing its global standing. The facility’s role as an Embraer and Rolls-Royce Authorized Service Centre further strengthens its market position.

This certification allows the Dubai facility to handle extensive maintenance tasks, including 96-month and 144-month airframe checks, and up to the 192-month inspections.  This newly approved facility, located at Al Maktoum International Airport, spans 15,344 square meters (165,160 square feet) and is equipped to manage these critical maintenance procedures.

Nick Weber, regional vice president, Middle East, ExecuJet MRO Services, highlights the strategic importance of this expansion. “The Dubai facility has secured this business due to the significant presence of Legacy aircraft in the Middle East. Our new contracts are a direct result of our status as an Embraer Authorized Service Centre and a Rolls-Royce Authorized Service Centre for engines, including the BR710 and AE3007A series, which are integral to the Legacy aircraft’s performance.”

The impact of this new certification is already being felt, as ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East has welcomed its first two clients under this new authorization. The Legacy 600 aircraft of these clients are currently undergoing their scheduled 96-month and 144-month airframe checks within the facility’s advanced hangar. Additionally, the facility is providing comprehensive support services, including shipping one aircraft’s landing gear to the United States for overhaul.

Securing this certification is a testament to ExecuJet’s established reputation and extensive credentials. The Dubai-based MRO provider was already certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for heavy maintenance on Legacy aircraft. The SACAA’s endorsement was achieved through the thorough auditing and validation of these EASA credentials. Notably, this recognition marks the 18th civil aviation authority to certify ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East, reflecting the company’s broadening global footprint.

Weber also points to the growing economic and trade connections between the Middle East and Africa as a key factor driving future opportunities. “As business and trade between the Middle East and Africa continue to expand, we anticipate increased opportunities to support operators from the neighboring African region,” he adds.
