Ray Sharp has an extensive background in business aviation maintenance, avionics, and modifications.

Ray Sharp has been appointed as director of maintenance of West Star Aviation at their East Alton, Illinois (ALN) facility.  In this role, Sharp will oversee the facility’s comprehensive maintenance programs, ensuring the highest standards of aircraft upkeep.

Sharp’s career in aviation began as an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) technician at Cessna. He subsequently joined StandardAero, where he dedicated 25 years to advancing within the company. Sharp’s tenure at StandardAero culminated in his role as Director of Operations, where he managed both the airframe and avionics departments within the corporate aviation sector. His expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of aircraft types, including Falcon, Hawker, Lear, Cessna, Challenger, and Gulfstream models.
