CAE Defense & Security USA has granted a U.S. Navy  Contract under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program to develop and deliver two advanced training devices for the Republic of India Navy. The $57 million Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract encompasses the provision of an MH-60R Tactical Operational Flight Trainer (TOFT) and an Avionics Maintenance and Weapons Load Trainer (AMWLT), specifically configured for the Indian Navy.

CAE Defense & Security will design, develop, and deliver both hardware and courseware, along with network components, training, and documentation for the MH-60 platform. The training devices will feature a range of upgrades and unique modifications, including an identification friend or foe (IFF) interrogator, IFF transponder, traffic collision avoidance system, anti-ship missile, and depth charge capabilities.

Merrill Stoddard, Division President, CAE Defense & Security USA, stated, “CAE’s unmatched experience as a platform independent training and simulation provider enables us to develop and enhance solutions that advance mission readiness.”

The MH-60R TOFT is a comprehensive aircrew mission training system, integrating a full-motion operational flight trainer (OFT) for pilot training with a weapons tactics trainer (WTT) designed to train rear-crew sensor operators and airborne tactics officers.

The TOFT and WTT can function independently or within a networked training environment, allowing pilots, co-pilots, and rear crew to engage in full mission training scenarios against complex interactive threats, simulating real mission conditions.
