Cessna SkyCourier Gains type Certification in the Philippines
The SkyCourier is optimized for various missions, from air freight to passenger transport and specialized operations.

ACDI MPC, the largest cooperative in the Philippines, is set to receive the aircraft in the latter half of 2025.

Textron Aviation announced that the Cessna SkyCourier twin utility turboprop has secured type certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). This development marks a pivotal expansion of SkyCourier’s operational footprint, paving the way for enhanced connectivity across the remote and diverse areas of Southeast Asia.

The Cessna SkyCourier will see its debut in the Philippines with the delivery of a 19-seat passenger variant to Leading Edge Air Services Corporation (LEASCOR). This subsidiary of ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative (ACDI MPC), the largest cooperative in the Philippines, is set to receive the aircraft in the latter half of 2025. 

Designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation Inc., the SkyCourier is optimized for various missions, from air freight to passenger transport and specialized operations. Its single-pilot operation and substantial payload capacity make it a valuable asset for addressing the unique logistical and transportation needs of the region. The aircraft’s flexible configuration further enhances its utility, supporting diverse applications from tourism and agriculture to mobility and construction.

Major General Gilbert S. Llanto, ACDI MPC Chairman, said, “We are excited to connect underserved communities in the Philippines with the new 19-seat SkyCourier turboprop, which will complement our present fleet, It will surely boost our business lines in tourism, agriculture and food, aviation, mobility and the construction industry across the archipelago.”
