StandardAero Partners with Avianca for LEAP-1A Maintenance

StandardAero Secures CFM LEAP-1A Support Agreement with Avianca Airline
StandardAero's CRS team has successfully industrialized over 230 component repairs for both LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines.

StandardAero Expands LEAP-1A Support to Avianca with Comprehensive MRO support for Airbus A320neo’s LEAP-1A engines, including repair, testing, and asset management through its Total Engine portfolio.

StandardAero has entered into a non-exclusive agreement with Avianca, a passenger airline serving Colombia, Ecuador, and Central America, to deliver maintenance support to CFM International LEAP-1A turbofan engines equipped in its Airbus A320neo fleet. Under this agreement, Avianca will have access to the comprehensive LEAP-1A service offerings provided by StandardAero. 

StandardAero, which became the first North American non-airline CFM Branded Service Agreement (CBSA) holder for the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines, will deliver a full spectrum of capabilities. These services include maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) support, workshopping and forecasting, engine testing, program management, component repair development, lease engine support, and module swaps. All services will be integrated within StandardAero’s Total Engine Asset Management portfolio, ensuring a seamless operational experience.

Additionally, StandardAero will provide a comprehensive range of component repairs for the LEAP family through its Component Repair Services (CRS) division. This support will be facilitated via a network of CRS locations and the Repair Development Center of Excellence. To date, StandardAero’s CRS team has successfully industrialized over 230 component repairs for both LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines.

This partnership expands the list of operators utilizing StandardAero’s newly established LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services at its San Antonio facility in Texas.
