This upgrade increases mechanical horsepower from 700 HP to 850 HP, resulting in a significant enhancement in both climb and cruise performance for the TBM 700 series. Specifically, the climb time from sea level to 31,000 feet is reduced from 16 minutes and 39 seconds to 14 minutes, while maximum cruise speeds at various altitudes are elevated to between 287 KTAS and 307 KTAS.
