Honeywell will offer Air India’s fleet complete APU aftermarket support, increasing dependability, efficiency, and reducing maintenance costs.

Honeywell has signed a long-term agreement with Air India Limited, India’s leading global airline and a Tata Group enterprise. Additionally, The agreement covers Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) aftermarket support for both Air India’s existing and new fleets. Furthermore, It provides comprehensive maintenance support for Honeywell APUs. This ensures high aircraft dispatch reliability and fleet availability. Additionally, it lowers unplanned maintenance costs across Air India’s fleet.

Ashish Modi, President of Honeywell India, said, “We are delighted to strengthen our collaboration with Air India and help in its fleet modernization efforts, as part of a long-standing commitment to supporting the carrier’s innovation and growth objectives. The APU is a critical aircraft component that provides electrical power and air conditioning while the plane is on the ground. Moreover, It ensures passenger comfort and supplies the air source before engine start. APUs are part of a broad range of Honeywell technologies shaping aviation’s future. As air travel continues to grow, the need for accessible aftermarket services rises. Honeywell will provide comprehensive APU aftermarket support to Air India under this agreement. Moreover, This ensures the reliability and efficiency of Air India’s fleet of over 300 aircraft. Furthermore, The support includes the legacy fleet of 100+ A320s, 15 B777s, and the new fleet of 190 B737-8s. It covers Honeywell’s 131-9A, 131-9B, and 331-500 series APUs. Furthermore, Honeywell’s global service and support network ensures optimal APU performance with minimal disruption.
