C&L Aviation Services gains FAA approval for seat belt and cargo net repairs, offering a cost-effective OEM alternative.

C&L Aviation Services, a subsidiary of C&L Aviation Group, has obtained FAA-approved Repair Specification for the repair and rewebbing of 9G/16G seat belts and cargo netting at their Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Bangor, Maine. This approval positions C&L Aviation Services as one of the few non-OEM facilities in the United States offering this service, providing operators and MROs with an alternative to OEM replacements for damaged or expired seat belts.  

Ernesto Mendoza, Seat Belt Production Manager for C&L Aviation Services, said  “We are excited to be able to offer this service to our customers who are facing steep costs and long lead-times from OEMs to get replacement belts, We produce a quality product that meets the rigors of industry testing at a cost significantly lower than the OEMs. Add that to our quick turn times and we will be able to make a lot of customers happy with our service.”
