This initiative aligns with Leonardo Belgium S.A. Logistics Centre, reinforcing support for increasing demand for commercial helicopters in the UK and Ireland, particularly in the VIP-Corporate sector.

Leonardo enhances its helicopter service provision in the UK through a partnership with Aldenham Aviation Ltd. Commencing at London Elstree Aerodrome, the project aims to establish Part 145 maintenance capabilities by autumn. Additional endeavors with Aldenham Aviation Ltd. will further augment these capabilities, complementing the existing service network and enhancing operational efficiency with regional partners. This initiative aligns closely with Leonardo Belgium S.A. Logistics Centre, bolstering support for the growing demand for Leonardo commercial helicopters in the UK and Ireland, notably in the VIP-Corporate market. The facility will deliver OEM-quality support services, incorporating cutting-edge technology tailored to meet the specific needs of passenger transport operators.

Over 175 helicopters, encompassing models such as AW109s, AW169s, AW139s, and AW189s, operational in the region for passenger, offshore, and public service transport, Leonardo anticipates further fleet expansion with the introduction of the next-generation AW09 single engine. To meet evolving market demands, Leonardo reaffirms its dedication to enhancing responsiveness and service quality by providing technical and maintenance support aligned with industry needs.

London Elstree Aerodrome, under the ownership and operation of Aldenham Aviation Ltd, is strategically situated to cater to London and the South-East region, benefitting from the burgeoning helicopter activity in this area of England. With a swift 8-minute helicopter travel time to London, the aerodrome accommodates general aviation and rotary operations. It offers dedicated ground handling services, Flight Information Service Operators, 24/7 refuelling, aircraft maintenance facilities, hangar space, and hosts multiple flying schools and aviation enterprises.
