Southeast Aerospace receives FAA STC for flight deck integrated Hawker 800 series jet

Southeast Aerospace has announced that it has the FAA approval for an amendment to STC number ST04570CH enabling the modernization of Honeywell SPZ 8000 equipped Hawker 800 series aircraft, specifically the Hawker 800A, 800B, and 800XP models.

Southeast Aerospace, Inc. (SEA), a leading provider of aerospace solutions, has announced that it has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval for an amendment to Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) number ST04570CH. This amendment now enables the modernization of Honeywell SPZ 8000 equipped Hawker 800 series aircraft, specifically the Hawker 800A, 800B, and 800XP models. The latest approval will boost the services provided by the company and welcome more such innovations in the industry.

The STC offers a significant upgrade for aircraft with existing Collins APS-80 or Honeywell SPZ 8000 autopilots by allowing the installation of the Universal InSight Integrated Flight Deck. This cutting-edge flight deck includes advanced avionics features such as a sophisticated synthetic vision system, comprehensive electronic charts, and integrated radio control capabilities. This modernization reduces the number of external Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), which helps decrease avionics weight and wiring complexity.

Luke Gomoll, Sales Representative, SEA Aircraft Modifications said, “We are thrilled to have received FAA approval for this important amendment to the STC. This upgrade represents a significant advancement in the avionics capabilities of the Hawker 800 series aircraft. Our goal is to offer a modern, efficient, and highly reliable upgrade path for these aircraft. The InSight Integrated Flight Deck upgrade, in conjunction with other modernizations like the Kapture CVR with RIPS and the PS Engineering PAC 45L audio system, empowers operators with the latest in avionics technology, significantly enhancing safety and operational efficiency.”
