Airbus and Condor celebrated the first Airbus A320neo aircraft for Avolon, at Toulouse, strengthening its fleet capabilities to complement the existing Airbus family fleet aircraft.

Condor and Airbus celebrated the milestone of the airline’s fleet modernization journey with the first Airbus A320neo aircraft delivered from Avolon, a leasing company. The delivery ceremony held in Toulouse underlines the Condor’s efforts in strengthening its fleet capabilities to complement the existing A330neo family fleet aircraft. The strategic decision to operate the A320 and A330neo families makes Condor benefit from commonality that these two Airbus families enjoy in terms of operational efficiency.

Having used the A320 family for more than two decades over European routes, Condor now brings abundant experience to the introduction of the A320neo. This next-generation aircraft means enhanced efficiency and passenger comfort while further providing Condor with improved service quality and operational performance.

A320neo fleet for Condor will be powered by Pratt & Whitney engines, which hold the reputation of reliability and performance. This aircraft will provide the passengers with a high level of comfort through the Airbus Airspace cabin design. As of March 2024, the A320neo family has received more than 10,000 orders from more than 130 customers around the world, which underscores its popularity and industry recognition.

Fuel consumption and a reduction of CO2 emissions of at least 20% compared to the previous generation aircraft—A320neo family—are the result of modern engines and improved aerodynamics. This results in noise reduction of up to 50%, a great contribution to an overall enhanced passenger experience and environmental sustainability.

As of now, more than 3,000 A320neo Family aircraft have been delivered into service, showing the reliability, performance, and operational efficiency of the aircraft. The delivery of the A320neo to Condor demonstrates Airbus’ continuous commitment to innovation and sustainability in aviation.
