Lilium joins Atlantic Aviation to build an FBO network across the U.S.
This partnership holds significance in ensuring seamless integration between the Lilium Jet and Atlantic's network of aviation assets spread across North America.

Lilium N.V. has forged a strategic partnership with Atlantic Aviation to prepare Atlantic’s extensive network of more than 100 FBOs for the upcoming regional air mobility service launch of the Lilium Jet in the U.S.

Lilium N.V., a pioneering developer of the first all-electric vertical take-off and landing (“eVTOL”) jet, has forged a strategic partnership with Atlantic Aviation, a leading fixed-based operation (FBO) and aviation services provider in the United States. The collaboration aims to prepare Atlantic’s extensive network of more than 100 FBOs for the upcoming regional air mobility service launch of the Lilium Jet in the U.S.

This partnership holds significance in ensuring seamless integration between the Lilium Jet and Atlantic’s network of aviation assets spread across North America. With Atlantic operating sites at over 30 airport locations within Lilium’s planned launch markets in Florida, Southern California, the Northeast corridor, and Texas, the collaboration sets the stage for Advanced Air Mobility operations at these strategic locations.

“Our partnership with Atlantic Aviation is a critical step toward realizing our vision for a sustainable and accessible mode of high-speed regional travel,” said Sebastien Borel, Chief Commercial Officer, Lilium. “Atlantic’s extensive presence across major U.S. cities and expertise in ground infrastructure development and premier customer service will be invaluable in establishing a robust network that supports the Lilium Jet throughout the U.S,”  he further added.

The focus of the partnership between Lilium and Atlantic revolves around infrastructure deployment and operations, with a keen emphasis on enhancing the passenger experience. Key areas of strategic planning include aircraft flight paths, charging capabilities, passenger facilities, operations forecasting, and more. By meticulously addressing these aspects, the collaboration aims to optimize the passenger journey and facilitate a smooth transition into a new era of air travel.

Lilium’s planned commercialization approach focuses on manufacturing and selling the Lilium Jet to individuals and companies for private, premium, and shuttle operations, followed by providing aftermarket support and services. This strategy underscores the importance of having aviation facilities ready for the Lilium Jet’s deployment, highlighting the value of partnering with Atlantic.

“Atlantic Aviation is eager to work alongside Lilium, a pioneer in the burgeoning eVTOL sector, to construct the necessary infrastructure for their regional air mobility service in the United States,” said John Redcay, Chief Commercial and Sustainability Officer, Atlantic. “This collaboration underscores our firm conviction in the transformative potential of eVTOL technology in reshaping regional travel, and we are dedicated to furnishing the technology-agnostic infrastructure and assistance required to bring this vision to fruition,”  he further added.

The strategic collaboration between Lilium and Atlantic is poised to pave the way for the smooth entry into service of the Lilium Jet. This groundbreaking aircraft is set to revolutionize regional air transportation, connecting travelers from city to city and significantly reducing travel time for passengers.
