Signed by ENAV CEO Pasqualino Monti and Leonardo Co-General Manager Lorenzo Mariani, the agreement seeks to establish an industrial and commercial partnership to create a portfolio of high-value-added technologies and systems in air traffic management.

Leonardo and ENAV SpA have entered into a 24-month MoU for jointly advancing the field of Air Traffic Management in Italy and beyond while developing cutting-edge technologies, innovative solutions, and services to enhance ATM and safety.

Leonardo and ENAV SpA have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at bolstering their collaboration and jointly advancing the field of Air Traffic Management (ATM) in Italy and beyond. This 24-month agreement focuses on developing cutting-edge technologies, innovative solutions, and services to enhance air traffic management and safety. The agreement may lead to subsequent binding agreements that the parties will define in compliance with applicable legislation, including regulations regarding transactions between related parties.

Signed by ENAV CEO Pasqualino Monti and Leonardo Co-General Manager Lorenzo Mariani, the agreement seeks to establish an industrial and commercial partnership to create a portfolio of high-value-added technologies and systems in air traffic management. Additionally, it includes joint services such as training operational personnel, validating new sensors, and defining flight procedures.

Pasqualino Monti, The CEO, ENAV SpA said, “Our goal is to synergistically enhance the skills and competencies of two Italian centres of excellence in order to offer high-performance systems to potential customers. This agreement lays the foundation for maximising the production and engineering content of both organisations and the national supply chain.”

ENAV and Leonardo have a history of collaboration in developing advanced radar and surveillance systems, communication technologies, air traffic management software, and satellite navigation procedures. They are also partners in the latest air traffic management initiatives for drones.
