AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE, the Czech aerospace and defense company, has successfully acquired 100% ownership of Technometra Český Brod a.s. Technometra is a key supplier to Aero for the new L-39NG aircraft and provides components and repairs for older aircraft manufactured by Aero. The completion of the acquisition on March 7, 2024, establishes Aero as the sole shareholder of Technometra, emphasizing the strategic importance of the acquisition for Aero’s supply chain stability and development.

Aero has been actively involved in managing Technometra since the beginning of the year. The acquisition aims to stabilize and enhance the supply chain, ensuring the continued production, financial stability, and employment for Technometra’s workforce.

“The purchase of this strategic supplier is aimed at stabilizing and developing our supply chain. By acquiring Technometra, we will ensure the continuation of production, stabilization of finances and work for Technometra’s employees,” said Viktor Sotona, Chairman and CEO, Aero.

Jiří Linka, former Production Director at Aero, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors at Technometra as of January 15, 2024. Technometra, based in Český Brod, focuses on engineering and production of components for the aerospace industry, including hydraulic and pneumatic devices, hydraulic filters, hydraulic piston pumps, gearboxes, and axles. The company employs around 60 experienced professionals and holds certifications for designing, manufacturing, and maintaining aeronautical instruments.
