Rolls-Royce has announced changes to three approved maintenance center joint ventures, simplifying the structure of two and introducing a more competitive business model.
The changes relate to Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL), Singapore Aero Engine Services (SAESL) and N3 Engine Overhaul Services. All three centers will now need to compete to secure Trent TotalCare engine overhauls and will also be able to compete globally for MRO services under time-and-material terms.
HAESL and SAESL will become 50-50 joint ventures, as N3 already is, as Rolls increases its investment. These changes complement the recent announcement that Delta TechOps will join the Trent Service Network as an independent center. Additional members of the Trent Service Network will be announced at future dates.
