Boeing appoints chief senior executives.

Boeing appoints Chris Raymond and Brian Moran as president and CEO, Boeing Global Services and Boeing Chief Sustainability Officer respectively. 

Chris Raymond was named president and CEO of Boeing Global Services (BGS) by Boeing. Following Stephanie Pope’s recent appointment as Boeing’s chief operating officer, Raymond will take over. Raymond has been replaced as Boeing’s chief sustainability officer by Brian Moran. A combined 55 years of Boeing experience is brought by two seasoned company veterans. The positions take effect on January 1, 2024.

Raymond will oversee all facets of Boeing Global Services’ aerospace services division, which serves clients in the commercial, government, and aviation industries globally, in his capacity as president and CEO. In 2022, BGS brought in $17.6 billion. Raymond will remain a member of Boeing’s Executive Council and report to Pope.

I’m confident he will continue the strong operational performance with our Services team and remain focused on delivering on our customer commitments.”

With an emphasis on aerospace sustainability priorities, stakeholder-oriented reporting, industry-wide partnerships, and company performance to meet important sustainability goals, Moran will lead Boeing’s sustainability efforts in his new role as chief sustainability officer. Moran will be based in Boeing’s Amsterdam office and will answer both the Boeing Board of Directors’ Governance & Public Policy committee and Boeing President and CEO Dave Calhoun. He will be a member of the Boeing Executive Council as well.

The Biography of Chris Raymond

Since October 2020, Chris Raymond has held the position of Chief Sustainability Officer at Boeing. Raymond had previously served as corporate development, strategy, and sustainability vice president. In the past, he oversaw business development and strategy for Boeing Defence, Space & Security (BDS), in addition to overseeing Autonomous Systems and other business segments within BDS. Since starting his career as an engineer, Raymond has held leadership positions at Boeing in the areas of operations, strategy, supply chain management, programme management, and engineering.

The biography of Brian Moran

For Boeing, Brian Moran has been the vice president of global partnerships and sustainability policy. He is in charge of a multicultural, international team that promotes and highlights Boeing’s commitment to sustainability. This includes educating policymakers around the world and strengthening alliances to further the company’s sustainability goals, like expanding the use of sustainable aviation fuels. Brian has been employed by Boeing in St. Louis, Washington, DC, London, Seattle, Berlin, Brussels, Chicago, and Amsterdam. He has also held leadership positions in the company’s commercial and defence divisions, communications division, and government affairs division.
