Lufthansa Technik AG, a global leader in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services, and CleverPine AD, a reputable software engineering service provider based in Sofia, Bulgaria, have joined forces to establish a joint venture known as “ViTech” in Sofia, Bulgaria. ViTech’s primary mission is to establish a product-oriented software engineering and data science center dedicated to providing high-quality software solutions tailored to meet the digitalization needs of Lufthansa Technik’s various business segments.
The joint venture is commencing operations immediately, with plans to recruit 85 Software Engineers based in Sofia. This strategic move aims to accelerate the digital transformation within the aviation industry. Under the initiative “Digitize the Core,” Lufthansa Technik is expanding its partnership with CleverPine, making ViTech a dedicated tech hub exclusively for developing digital solutions to enhance Lufthansa Technik’s various business segments.

Lufthansa Technik has had a significant presence in Bulgaria for over 15 years through its subsidiary, Lufthansa Technik Sofia. The choice of Sofia as the hub for ViTech’s operations is underpinned by its association with leading universities and a burgeoning tech ecosystem.

ViTech is actively seeking passionate Software Engineers to join its newly established team. The roles encompass various positions, including Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, Scrum Masters, UX Designers, Data Scientists, and Product Owners.
