Montana Aerospace’s Asco Industries sign structural components deal with GKN-Fokker.
The manufacturing will take place at Asco's advanced facilities in Gedern, Germany, and Zaventem, Belgium.

Asco Industries will oversee the manufacturing and surface treatments of complex aluminum components used in the elevator system within the GKN Fokker aircraft’s empennage.

GKN Fokker, a prominent aerospace company, has awarded a substantial contract to Asco Industries, a division of Montana Aerospace AG, for the production of intricate structural components for a business jet program. This collaboration underscores Asco’s expertise in manufacturing and supplying high-quality aerospace components.

Arjen Landman, Senior Vice President, GKN Fokker said, “This agreement will contribute to a European supply chain network for this program. We know Asco as a world-class supplier of high lift structures and components. We look forward to strengthening our partnership together on this program.”

As part of the agreement, Asco Industries will oversee the manufacturing and surface treatments of complex aluminum components used in the elevator system within the aircraft’s empennage. These components, including machined skins, panels, and beams, are crucial for the functionality of the aircraft. The manufacturing will take place at Asco’s advanced facilities in Gedern, Germany, and Zaventem, Belgium.

The contract signing event witnessed the presence of key stakeholders, including Arjen Landman, Senior Vice President at GKN Fokker, and Olaf Lawrenz, Chief Executive Officer of Asco Industries.

Asco Industries is renowned for its proficiency in developing and producing ready-to-install high-lift mechanisms for aircraft, serving leading Tier-1 suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) directly. GKN Fokker’s decision to collaborate with Asco Industries stems from its capability to efficiently industrialize intricate structural components within a tight timeline. The Asco Gedern team successfully established the entire process development and achieved flawless production of these complex parts on the first attempt.

Upon completion, the meticulously crafted components will be delivered to GKN Fokker’s facility in Papendrecht, Netherlands, contributing to the advancement of the business jet program.
