EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING has announced the selection of Engineer Walid El-Khafif as the new Chairman & CEO of the Company. Walid El-Khafif at the company will be succeeding Eng. Yehia Zakaria who moved to head EGYPTAIR Holding Company. Walid has been a key member of a number of the company’s development projects including the selection of new aircraft and aircraft engines for EGYPTAIR Holding Company, the supply chain for aircraft maintenance, and implementation of digital maintenance applications.
Walid El-Khafif joined EGYPTAIR in 1989 as an Airframe System Engineer in the Engineering Department. He was elected as Airframe System Supervisor at EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING Company in 2007 and worked there until 2010 when he was promoted to Technical Services Director. Walid El-Khafif has long experience of over 30 years in the field of aircraft maintenance and overhaul, which he gained from working in various engineering and administrative positions in the company.
