BOC Aviation delivers last Boeing 737 MAX 8 to Turkish Airlines.
The 737 MAX is a fourth-generation Boeing 737, re-engined with CFM LEAP-1B turbofans.

The delivered aircraft is the final of a seven new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft agreement between BOC Aviation and Turkish Airlines.

BOC Aviation Limited recently made an announcement that it has delivered the final aircraft of a seven new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft transaction to Turkish Airlines, the national flag carrier airline of Turkey. The Aircraft will join the operator’s already existing fleet that provides scheduled services to 315 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, making Turkish Airlines the largest mainline carrier in the world by the number of passenger destinations. The delivered 737 MAX8 aircraft is powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines.

The Boeing 737 MAX is the fourth generation of the Boeing 737, a narrow-body airliner manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), a division of the American company Boeing. The 737 MAX is based on earlier 737 designs, with more efficient CFM International LEAP-1B engines, aerodynamic changes, including distinctive split-tip winglets, and airframe modifications.

“This delivery reflects the strong level of cooperation that we enjoy with Turkish Airlines, building on our 18-year relationship,” said Mr. Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, BOC Aviation“We look forward to further developing our long and successful partnership with Turkish Airlines as we continue to provide our airline customers with more fuel-efficient and technologically advanced aircraft solutions,” he added.

The 737 MAX series is offered in four variants by the company, offering 138 to 204 seats in a typical two-class configuration, and a range of 3,300 to 3,850 nautical miles in flying (6,110 to 7,130 km). The 737 MAX 7, MAX 8 (including the 200–seat MAX 200), and MAX 9 are intended to replace the 737-700, -800, and -900 respectively, and a further-stretched 737 MAX 10 is available. As of June 2022, Boeing had 4,071 unfilled orders and 840 deliveries for the 737 MAX.
