7 Generations Aerospace secures EASA Part-145 approval, expands European MRO footprint

7 Generations Aerospace LLC has received EASA Part-145 US Approval Certificate (EASA.145.8170), a significant regulatory milestone that enables the company to provide maintenance services for European-registered aircraft and issue FAA/EASA dual-release certificates.

Issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the approval authorises the company’s maintenance facility in Hialeah Gardens, Florida, to perform maintenance in accordance with EASA Part-145 requirements while supporting operators requiring compliance with both U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European regulatory standards.

The certification expands the company’s service portfolio and strengthens its ability to support international airlines, lessors and aircraft operators managing fleets across multiple jurisdictions. With dual-release capability, maintenance work performed by 7 Generations Aerospace can now satisfy both FAA and EASA regulatory requirements, reducing operational complexity for customers operating globally.

The company described the certification as a major step in its long-term growth strategy, opening opportunities to serve European-registered aircraft as well as international operators seeking maintenance providers with recognised cross-border regulatory approvals.

According to the company, the achievement reflects the dedication of its technical, quality and compliance teams, whose efforts ensured the organisation met EASA’s stringent maintenance, safety and quality assurance requirements.

EASA Part-145 approval is widely regarded as one of the aviation industry’s most important maintenance certifications, requiring organisations to demonstrate robust quality management systems, regulatory compliance, technical competence and adherence to internationally recognised maintenance standards. The certification also involves comprehensive oversight of maintenance procedures, personnel qualifications, facilities, tooling and documentation processes.

For independent MRO providers, obtaining EASA approval represents a significant competitive advantage, enabling access to a broader international customer base and positioning them to support aircraft operating under both European and U.S. regulatory frameworks.

The latest approval also reflects a broader trend across the global MRO industry, where maintenance providers are increasingly pursuing multiple regulatory certifications—including FAA, EASA, UK CAA and other civil aviation authority approvals—to expand market access and respond to growing demand for internationally recognised maintenance services.

As aircraft operators continue to expand cross-border operations and leasing activity grows worldwide, dual-certificated maintenance organisations are becoming increasingly valuable partners for airlines and lessors seeking regulatory flexibility, consistent maintenance standards and streamlined aircraft return-to-service processes.

For 7 Generations Aerospace, the EASA Part-145 approval marks an important milestone in its evolution from a domestic maintenance provider to an internationally recognised MRO organisation, reinforcing its commitment to quality, regulatory excellence and supporting customers across the global aviation maintenance market.
