ST Engineering’s Aerospace secures new contracts worth about $840m in 4q2016

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd announced that its aerospace arm, Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd (ST Aerospace), secured new contracts worth about $840m in the fourth quarter of 2016 for services ranging from line and airframe maintenance to component repair and overhaul.

The total contract value includes an agreement with Alaska Airlines to provide MRO support for the airline’s CFM56-7B engines that power its fleet of Boeing 737-700 and 737-900 aircrafts exclusively. The five-year agreement is expected to cover more than 60 planned maintenance events and commences instantly.

The 4Q2016 contracts include line and heavy airframe maintenance for commercial airlines and military operators. Other contract wins include several landing gear overhaul agreements from various airlines, a long-term landing gear repair contract from an established national carrier and multiple contracts for EcoPower engine wash services including a one-year extension contract worth US$2.6m for a commercial airline, the largest commercial contract that ST Aerospace has clinched for its engine wash business.
